The sisters were better known better as the Heliades. Their Father was Helios, he was the sun god. Their brother was Phaethon, he was a mortal that was chosen as a son to Helios and was granted every wish he wanted. The Heliades were three sisters of Phaethon. Their names were Aegiale, Aegle, and Aetheria. They were very beautiful. Halides meant children of the sun. In the myth of Phaethon they  helped their father  Helios take care of his horses. When Helios son  Phaethon died the sisters mourned for four months. The gods took pity on them and turned them into poplar trees. Their legs turned into roots and their hands turned into branches.
